Sounds absurd right, to go all the way to Prambanan only to take a selfie there? Well, it was too late by the time we got here, there was no lighting, including no flood lighting of the temples so there was really no way we could go further. I was not the only one though, as I was leaving the complex, several bus loads of tourists arrived at the scene as well. Located about 17 km from Y/Jogjakarta, Indonesia, Prambanan is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. The shrine to Shiva is located at the center and contains five chambers, four small chambers in every cardinal direction and one bigger main chamber in the central part of the temple. The two other main shrines are those of Vishnu on the north side of the Shiva shrine, and the one of Brahma on the south. Both temples face east and each contain only one large chamber, each dedicated to respective gods (Y/Jogjakarta, Indonesia, May 2018)
